Course-wise Eligibility
Admission eligibility varies by programme level and is to be considered along with the latest institutional and regulatory requirements. The cards below present the current course-wise eligibility structure in a consistent, student-friendly format.
M.Sc. Nursing
- Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- Minimum 1 year work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Candidate shall be medically fit.
- 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given as per rules.
B.Sc. Nursing
- Minimum age shall be 17 years on 31st December of the admission year.
- Maximum age limit shall be 35 years.
- Candidate should have passed 10+2 with Science.
- Minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
- English must be passed individually.
- Candidate shall be medically fit.
- Selection based on entrance examination / merit as per applicable rules.
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Passed Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary / Intermediate / 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Obtained certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery.
- Registered as R.N.R.M. with State Nurse Registration Council.
- Candidate shall be medically fit.
GNM
- 10+2 with English and minimum 40% marks at qualifying examination.
- Science is preferable.
- 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Vocational stream - Health Care Science is eligible.
- 10+2 with English and 40% marks in Vocational ANM course recognised by Indian Nursing Council is eligible.
- Registered ANM with pass marks is eligible.
- Minimum age shall be 17 years on 31st December of the admission year.
- Upper age limit shall be 35 years.
- Student shall be medically fit.
ANM
- Minimum age shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the admission year.
- Maximum age shall be 35 years.
- Minimum educational requirement shall be passing of 12 years of schooling, 10+2 or equivalent examination recognised by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or equivalent.
- Admission is subject to satisfactory medical examination report.
